Dr. Timothy Achor earned his undergraduate degree at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio at Toledo. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at New York Medical College-Westchester County Medical Center and a fellowship in orthopedic trauma at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. 

In practice since 2003, Dr. Achor is board certified in orthopedic surgery. He specializes in orthopedic trauma with an emphasis on severe musculoskeletal injuries of the pelvis, hip, knee and ankle, as well as non-unions and complications of fractures. He patients give him excellent ratings, describing him as an extremely knowledgeable physician who cares about his patients and takes time to understand their conditions.

Dr. Achor is an assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth and director of the Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship program at McGovern Medical School and Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center. A frequent presenter at national conferences, he is active in the education of medical students, residents and fellows at McGovern Medical School. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Orthopedic Trauma Association and AO Trauma North America.
