A Houston native, Dr. Wyatt Ramey earned his undergraduate degree in microbiology from the University of Georgia and his medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Neb. He completed his residency in neurosurgery and a fellowship in complex spine neurosurgery at Banner-University Medical Center in Tucson, Ariz., and a fellowship in complex and minimally invasive spine surgery at The Swedish Neuroscience Institute in Seattle.
Board certified in neurosurgery, Dr. Ramey treats patients ages 18 and older. His primary clinical interests include adult spine deformity, complex spine revision surgery, degenerative disc disease and herniation, scoliosis, spinal stenosis and spine and brain oncology.
His practice philosophy centers on a compassionate, thoughtful, multidisciplinary approach. He always considers a non-operative approach first, reserving surgery only for when it is necessary. His patients appreciate his confidence and his ability to explain conditions in terms they can easily understand.
Dr. Ramey is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the
Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the AANS/CNS Joint Section on Disorders of the Spine and Peripheral Nerves and the Scoliosis Research Society.
A resident of Spring Branch, Dr. Ramey is married and enjoys golf, fitness, travel, live music and cycling in his leisure time, and he is an avid University of Georgia sports fan.
