Dr. Hamza Aziz earned his undergraduate degree in biology at Loyola University New Orleans and his medical degree at Louisiana State University School of Medicine at Shreveport. He completed his residency at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston and a fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas.
Dr. Aziz, who has been in practice since 2015, is board certified in both internal medicine and gastroenterology. He treats patients for gastrointestinal (GI) tract problems including abdominal pain and acid reflux, peptic ulcers, GI bleeds, colon disorders such as Crohn’s disease and colitis, and liver disorders such as hepatitis. He wants his patients to see him as an empathetic and competent physician who provides medical care tailored to their GI needs.
