Venkatasushma Kalava, PT, DPT

VenkatVenkatasushma Kalava earned her doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tenn., and completed her orthopedic and sports medicine residency at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. She is a board-certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy.

Her areas of interest include lower extremity (knee, foot, ankle) sports injuries, spine and post-operative care. She believes in the power of manual therapy and dry needling, as well as the human body’s potential to heal and adapt. She hopes to contribute to elevating the profession through continued learning, clinical education and advocating for holistic wellness in her patients.

Sushma is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and Academy of Orthopaedic Physical Therapy.

She enjoys working out, playing sports and hunting for the best food spots in Houston.
