Sean Kennedy earned his DPT from Saint Louis University in 2017. He then went on to complete his sports physical therapy residency at Texas Health Sports Medicine in Fort Worth, Texas and ultimately earn his board-certification in sports physical therapy. During his time in Fort Worth, Sean had the opportunity to work alongside Dr. John Conway, MD, and treat a predominantly overhead athletic population.
Sean transitioned to Houston with Dr. Conway in 2021, and since then, he has worked alongside Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation leadership to standardize the care of overhead athletic populations across Memorial Hermann's service line. Sean contributes to research endeavors as it relates to overhead athletic populations, both through Memorial Hermann's clinical research in collaboration with the University of Texas Orthopedics, and through his dissertation work establishing methods for assessing in vivo elbow joint biomotion in throwing athletes.
He is also an active member in the American Society for Shoulder and Elbow Therapists. Sean is highly motivated in educating each fellow through meaningful inter-professional experiences to improve the clinical care of patients with shoulder and elbow injuries and pathologies.
