- Quality medical care. Quality medical care for athletic injuries will be available through Memorial Hermann physical therapy and rehabilitation services. During the 2009 season, Memorial Hermann treated nearly 130 Texas Rush athletes.
- Athletic Performance Enhancement. Memorial Hermann will provide athletic performance enhancement with professional instruction through its Athletic Republic Sports Enhancement Training program. Texas Rush Soccer Club players will receive training at a 5 percent discount. Last year, Memorial Hermann Sports Medicine logged more than 1,000 Athletic Republic Sports Enhancement Training program sessions with Texas Rush athletes. Additionally, Memorial Hermann facilitated more than 750 player development training sessions.
- Educational Opportunities. Players and parents will have opportunities to attend seminars by Memorial Hermann trained professionals. Topics could include injury prevention, nutrition and sports supplements, burnout and overtraining, physiology of soccer exercise and more.
"The Performance Program facilitated by Memorial Hermann Sports Medicine has helped me to become a faster and stronger player. I feel like I have gained an edge over my competition by completing the program, which is why I am coming back to do the program again," said Sean Helster, a Texas Rush athlete who signed with the Colorado School of Mines in Spring 2009.
