HOUSTON (November 07, 2024)

Memorial Hermann Health System is proud to announce that Caitlin McVey, Associate Vice President of the Memorial Hermann Institute for Nursing Excellence, has been named to Reuters’ 2024 Pharma and Healthcare Future Leaders Report. McVey is one of only 11 individuals recognized for their contributions to the future of health care.

According to Reuters, the Future Leaders were selected based on excellence in five key areas – track record, influence, social impact, professional growth and future potential – with a focus on achievements over the past year.

In her role, McVey focuses on advancing nursing education, elevating the voice of nurses and developing innovative care models to improve patient outcomes. She is also leading the launch and expansion of Health Education and Learning (HEAL) High School, in partnership with Aldine ISD and funded by an initial gift of $31 million from the Bloomberg Philanthropies to the Memorial Hermann Foundation. The gift is one of just 10 nationwide that was given earlier this year to bridge the health care and education systems and provide a meaningful educational pathway to prepare students for health care jobs with family-sustaining wages after graduation from a specially designed, career-technical education (CTE) high school.

Earlier this year, McVey was recognized as one of the Houston Business Journal’s “40-under-40” honorees.
