Memorial Hermann Health System is proud to announce that Bryan W. Sisk, DNP, MPH, RN, NE-BC, CENP, Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Executive, has been named to Becker’s list of ‘Chief Nursing Officers to Know’ for 2024. This is the second consecutive year Sisk has received this recognition, which highlights nursing leaders who are addressing staffing shortages, advancing patient care and developing pathways for the next generation of nurses.
As Chief Nursing Executive, Sisk oversees more than 14,000 nurses across Memorial Hermann’s 17* hospitals and 260 care sites. He leads initiatives such as the Institute for Nursing Excellence and HEAL High School, a career-technical education program in partnership with Aldine Independent School District, supported by a $31 million grant from Bloomberg Philanthropies.
“Bryan is a collaborative leader who is highly respected throughout our system,” said Dr. David L. Callender, President and CEO of Memorial Hermann Health System. “By elevating the voice of nurses and launching initiatives like HEAL High School, he continues to strengthen our workforce and implement solutions to grow the nursing pipeline. His leadership is essential in ensuring we deliver high-quality care to the diverse communities we serve across Houston.”
Sisk also oversees nursing services such as the Nurse Health Line and Forensic Nursing Services, which provide critical support to patients. His efforts in workforce development and innovative care models have helped Memorial Hermann reduce turnover rates and maintain high standards of care.
